As the old saying goes, a picture says a thousand words. So we’ve made a new daily game which is just a single picture.

Every day we’ll post an image like this to all of our socials. Your challenge is to Name That Rushmore by figuring out what specifically ties the four athletes together such that they are the four most accomplished athletes to share that particular tie.

For example, in the image above, George Gervin, Rick Barry, Moses Malone, and Dr. J aren’t the four best NBA players of all-time or even the four best basketball players of the 1970s. But they are the four best NBA players who also played in the ABA. So any answer mentioning or alluding to “ABA” would be deemed correct.

Unlike all of our other games, Name That Rushmore is social-only and has no impact on our in-app leaderboard. You can play along however you’d like, but our favorite kind of response is one that makes it clear that you know the answer without making the answer obvious to most folks who see the comment. For example we’d boost the first several responses which contain an image of the red-white-and-blue ABA Basketball, or a picture of an alternate ABA Rushmore candidate like Artis Gilmore or Dan Issel.
